Boost metabolism

Metabolism refers to the chemical reactions in your body that keeps your body alive and functioning. Studies have reported that people are likely to eat fewer calories daily when protein made up a large part of their diet.

Drinking cold water also helps to boost metabolism. People who consume water over sugary drinks have been more successful at losing weight, as sugary drinks contain many calories. Drinking water temporarily speeds up your metabolism; drinking cold water increases the calorie-burning effect as your body is forced to use more energy to heat the water up to body temperature.

Engage in a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout. This can help to burn more fat even after your workout has ended, due to the very intense bursts of physical activity.

Another simple way to boost metabolism is to stand up more, since we all know that sitting too much can be detrimental for your health. Long periods of sitting burn fewer calories and lead to weight gain, especially in the abdominal areas.
